Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare, review and finalize formal documentation memorializing terms and conditions applicable to treaty reinsurance arrangements.
  • •Participate in client, reinsurer and broker team meetings, providing active support in the growth of the business.
  • •Answer client and reinsurer questions about contract language during negotiations and clarify wording provisions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Participate in RFPs and sales presentations by reviewing wording and recommending coverage enhancements to drive business growth.
  • •Develop training materials and deliver technical trainings; keep clients and account executives updated on market developments and contract wording trends.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance as a lawyer/attorney or as contract/policy specialist preferably with a focus on reinsurance structures and drafting/interpreting treaty wordings for domestic and/or global placements.
  • •Strong knowledge of primary insurance coverage and experience with casualty lines.
  • •Strategic and analytical problem solver with proven math and analytical skills.
  • •Intuition for business with the ability to drive the business forward with a thoughtful, proactive, and practical approach.
  • •Excellent ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and work independently while maintaining thoroughness.
