Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote and maintain a zero-harm safety culture and apply safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • •Execute approved maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability, plant availability, and maintenance quality.
  • •Supervise preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including monitoring equipment condition and supporting breakdown investigations.
  • •Manage maintenance contractors to ensure safe and effective work execution against service levels and KPIs.
  • •Develop weekly maintenance schedules, run structured shift handovers, maintain records, and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and cost control.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) / N3 Technical, or a relevant Higher National Qualification (e.g., N4).
  • •A2 Safety Training Certificate.
  • •A South African Drivers Licence Code B.
  • •At least 5 years of engineering and mechanical maintenance experience in a mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environment.
  • •In-depth knowledge of safety, health, environmental, legislative, and regulatory requirements, plus planned maintenance, breakdown management, and work management processes.
