Job Summary

Develop into a Quarry Manager by supporting all aspects of quarry/site operations, including safety, production, cost control, and team leadership. Oversee aggregate operations such as quarry development, drill/blast, plant operations, and mobile equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (including MSHA and DEP), run safety meetings and daily shift start-ups, manage forecasts, and evaluate direct reports while coordinating across equipment, admin, delivery, construction, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and direct aggregate operations, including quarry development, drill/blast, aggregate plant operations, and mobile equipment maintenance and selection.
•Enforce safety rules and conduct safety meetings/toolbox talks; ensure facilities operate safely.
•Identify and resolve regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems; ensure compliance with MSHA, DEP, and other federal/state regulations.
•Manage cost responsibility and productivity by reviewing cost and production forecasts and working to reduce costs.
•Conduct daily shift start-up meetings and perform supervisory responsibilities including annual evaluations of direct reports and workplace discipline when necessary.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•3-5 years of experience in construction aggregate production management.
•Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
•Must demonstrate computer ability to communicate and analyze data using Outlook, Excel, Word, and scheduling software (Microsoft Project/Primavera).
•Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
