Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plastics processing and auxiliary equipment, including injection molding, extrusion, thermoforms, grinders, dryers, blenders, conveyors, chillers, and robotics/automated systems.
  • •Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality and throughput.
  • •Operate and maintain utilities and facility systems such as air compressors, chilled/process water systems, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, and plant air dryers; inspect and service boilers/heating systems if applicable.
  • •Execute daily building start-up/shutdown procedures, including safety checks (LOTO points, e-stops, guards), documentation, and end-of-shift staging.
  • •Interpret technical documentation, perform root cause analysis on recurring failures, complete CMMS work orders and records, and comply with OSHA and company safety programs (including PPE and hazard communication).

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with plastics or high-speed production experience preferred.
  • •High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • •Demonstrated experience with utility systems (compressed air, chilled/process water, pumps) and general carpentry/building maintenance.
  • •Proficiency with mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical work up to 480V.
  • •Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals; skilled in safe use of carpentry, hand, and power tools.
