Job Summary

Develop advanced polymeric materials for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and semiconductor packaging as part of the Product Innovation team. Design thermoset formulations, build prototypes, and improve material performance using test results and customer feedback. Conduct proof-of-concept assessments, analyze experimental data, maintain lab records, and produce technical reports. Track industry trends for IP opportunities, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and ensure EHS, ethics, and trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify innovation opportunities for high-performance polymeric materials used in PCB applications.
•Design thermoset polymer formulations, create prototypes, and improve material designs based on test results and customer feedback.
•Perform proof-of-concept assessments, analyze experimental data, maintain electronic lab records, and prepare technical reports.
•Monitor industry trends to identify IP opportunities and product differentiation, including with AI-assisted tools.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners to accelerate product development and commercialization, while ensuring EHS/ethics/trade compliance.

Key Requirements

•PhD in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in materials research and development.
•Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry and physics, especially thermoset systems and inorganic-filled formulations.
•Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing, electronic materials, and semiconductor packaging technologies.
•Hands-on experience in formulation development and materials characterization.
