Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax standards for safety, quality, and reliability. Perform work ranging from basic maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs, including multi-point inspections and accurate documentation. Help recondition vehicles by repairing or replacing components, and assist with alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics. Follow Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements while maintaining a clean, orderly workspace and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax standards, aligned to the technician’s experience level.
•Perform automotive services from basic maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
•Complete multi-point inspections and document findings and completed work following established processes.
•Repair or replace vehicle components such as trim, seals, and panels to support reconditioning.
•Assist with alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics while following EH&S requirements and maintaining a clean workspace.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18 - 41.7 hourly

Key Requirements

•Basic to intermediate experience in automotive repair, including engines, brakes, suspension, or HVAC systems.
•Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and compliance standards.
•Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
•Strong attention to detail with clear verbal and written communication skills.
•Valid driver’s license required.
