Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead delivery of complex structural and multi-disciplinary building projects across sectors including health, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, and data centres throughout Australia.
  • •Oversee structural design and end-to-end project delivery, ensuring technical quality and coordination across the AECOM team.
  • •Provide technical leadership on major and complex projects and bring experience to solve challenging design issues.
  • •Build and maintain client relationships using your local network, develop new connections, and support business development to maintain a strong pipeline.
  • •Lead and mentor the structural team and help grow AECOM’s presence and capability in Sydney as part of the national Building Engineering group.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and 15+ years of consultancy experience delivering structural engineering projects in the buildings industry.
  • •Chartership with Engineers Australia (CPEng); other registrations highly regarded.
  • •Strong technical expertise in structural design with a thorough understanding of Australian codes, standards, and regulations.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • •Proven competency in project and commercial management with a track record of leading complex projects.
