Lead cross-issue and product policy initiatives for TikTok’s global Trust & Safety ecosystem. Develop durable policy frameworks and community-facing principles, ensuring human rights are embedded and policies are clear, consistent, implementable, and aligned with platform safety goals. Partner with policy experts, product teams, enforcement/operations, legal, public policy, and data science to translate complex issues into practical decision logic and governance documentation, including tools and self-serve resources for consistent policy application.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft and refine policy materials so they are clear, consistent, defensible, and operationally useful for downstream teams.
•Support strategic cross-policy and product-policy initiatives covering emerging harms, new product features, AI-generated content, human rights, spam, account integrity, appeals, and other high-priority areas.
•Translate complex safety, product, and societal issues into practical policy frameworks and decision logic with policy experts and product/XFN teams.
•Advise on policy alignment for new features, product launches, and cross-functional initiatives, including risks, ownership, review paths, and launch-readiness considerations.
•Develop and maintain foundational policy documentation and build reusable tools/self-serve resources to help teams develop and apply policies more consistently.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, platform policy, product policy, public policy, law, human rights, technology policy, academia, or a related field.
•Excellent writing, editing, and executive communication skills to turn complex and ambiguous topics into clear, structured, actionable materials.
•Strong policy judgment with the ability to reason across issue areas, product contexts, stakeholder perspectives, and risk trade-offs.
•Experience developing policy frameworks, principles, standards, guidance, or governance documentation.
•Ability to work cross-functionally with partners including product, legal, comms, operations, enforcement, public policy, and data science.
