Job Summary

Build and scale ByteDance’s Global Traffic Infrastructure by designing edge cloud products and a global traffic platform that powers TikTok services. Own end-to-end edge resource orchestration, traffic scheduling, cloud resource governance, and platform automation. Develop and optimize container/bare-metal/network capabilities, unified resource pool management, and full-lifecycle resource operations, ensuring stability, scalability, and cost efficiency for billions of users.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the end-to-end design and iteration of core edge cloud products, including container, bare-metal, and network capabilities, optimizing modules like user management, billing, inventory, and resource scheduling.
•Build a full-lifecycle resource operation platform covering resource planning, provisioning, delivery, runtime management, and billing, analyzing global resource data to improve efficiency.
•Develop a unified resource pool management platform integrating self-hosted and third-party cloud resources, building resource data and billing systems to improve cost efficiency and competitiveness.
•Polish domain models and workflows and deliver stable, secure, and scalable systems for internal and external business scenarios.
•Collaborate cross-team to solve technical challenges and independently own complex module design.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, or related fields, with 3+ years of R&D experience in cloud platform, cloud-native, or edge infrastructure domains.
•Proficiency in Go, C++, and/or Python, with hands-on experience building large-scale backend or infrastructure systems.
•Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, with practical experience operating and optimizing large-scale clusters.
•Hands-on familiarity with virtualization and container technologies, including KVM/QEMU, Virtio, container isolation, and image management.
•Experience with cloud-native observability, including Prometheus, Grafana, log pipelines, and distributed tracing.
