Job Summary

Join Instacart’s Strategic Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Retailer Pod to own end-to-end financial analysis for retailer partnerships. You’ll build driver-based forecasts, model pricing and ROI, support deal negotiations with data-driven insights, design scalable dashboards and templates, and craft executive-ready materials to influence leadership decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end financial modeling for retailer partnerships, including pricing strategies, incentive structures, unit economics, and ROI analyses with scenario and sensitivity testing.
•Partner with Retail Partnerships and Deal Desk to translate strategy into clear financial outcomes; support negotiations with data-driven recommendations and crisp trade-off frameworks.
•Build and maintain driver-based forecasts for a portfolio of retailer deals; establish KPIs, track performance vs. plan, and surface insights that improve margin and payback.
•Design and standardize scalable templates, playbooks, and dashboards that streamline diligence, approval, and post-close performance management.
•Create executive-ready materials—models, memos, and presentations—that distill complex analyses into clear narratives and decisions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 127,000 - 160,500 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting supporting commercial deals or growth initiatives in technology, e-commerce, marketplace, logistics, or retail.
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
•Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including driver-based models, cohort and retention analysis, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
•Proficiency in SQL for self-serve analysis and experience with a BI tool (e.g., Looker or Tableau).
•Demonstrated experience evaluating or structuring commercial partnerships or contracts (pricing, unit economics, and ROI modeling) and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
