Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling, delivering, and providing ongoing service for a range of retail banking products and services.
  • •Establish and maintain an understanding of clients’ financial needs and conditions using personal financial planning analysis, and coordinate with financial advisors on investment accounts.
  • •Stay current on economic, legal, and financial planning and investment trends affecting mass affluent clients; act as a financial planning/advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs.
  • •Drive revenue growth, profitability, and retention by acquiring new clients, expanding services, marketing products, using sales management processes, maintaining sales activity and pipeline in the bank’s contact management system.
  • •Partner with Truist IRM specialists and external centers of influence to provide integrated client servicing and support business development within audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
  • •Minimum five years of financial services experience working with clients dealing with banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or one year in a financial client relationship manager role).
  • •Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, and investment/asset allocation concepts for the mass affluent market.
  • •Active and maintained Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or Series 63/65 in lieu of 66) plus applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable) or obtain within 100-150 days; must also be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days and meet NMLS background check requirements.
  • •Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills with strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
