Key Responsibilities

  • •Interact with guests, cultivate regular guests and repeat business, and suggestively sell beverages and menu items.
  • •Complete a pour test (where applicable) prior to each shift and consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications.
  • •Deliver food and beverage orders promptly, prioritize and organize drink orders, and recognize intoxication to refuse further alcohol service.
  • •Record equipment failures and safety hazards in the bar log and ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and venue alcohol policies.
  • •Perform opening/running/closing duties, prepare guest checks on the POS terminal, process payments, and complete cash pull/check-out and Comp/Spill checks; occasionally work special events.

Key Requirements

  • •Required: Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training certification (or equivalent) and ability to work late hours.
  • •Cash handling experience and ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • •Ability to pass a pour test and a timed mixology drill, and prepare beverages to standard recipes and venue specifications.
  • •Maintain responsible alcohol service by checking ID for anyone appearing under 30 and refusing service to intoxicated guests in a courteous, safety-minded manner.
  • •Required licensee/certification requirement by state or county (as applicable) and ability to follow sanitation and safety standards.
