Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and enforce the site-specific Safety Plan in accordance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and Army regulations, including regular site inspections for hazards.
  • •Conduct safety orientations and recurring training for all personnel, ensuring proper PPE use, forklift/equipment operation, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and incident reporting.
  • •Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; report findings and corrective actions to the Project Manager and COR; maintain incident logs and OSHA reporting documentation.
  • •Perform routine safety audits and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for key operations such as equipment offload, inspection, and turn-in staging; track safety KPIs and prepare reports.
  • •Develop and implement hazard control measures for heavy equipment, material handling, and military logistics operations, including monitoring environmental conditions and enforcing weather protocols.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • •3+ years of safety experience on government, military, or industrial logistics sites.
  • •Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EM 385-1-1, DA PAM 385-10, and Army site safety practices.
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and receive favorable background check and drug testing results.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic English reading/writing ability.
