Key Responsibilities

  • •Provision and configure SQL Server instances for new and existing products, and perform day-to-day operational break/fix work.
  • •Analyze BAU work and automate L1/L2 tasks using repeatable procedures and best practices.
  • •Ensure database performance, security, and availability through ongoing change reviews and performance analysis.
  • •Plan, implement, and maintain replication strategies, including setting up and managing replication and clustering in an Azure environment.
  • •Handle common database procedures such as upgrades, backup, recovery, and migration, and optimize server resource usage; support SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences (or any major) with 12+ years administering and maintaining SQL Server, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
  • •Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.
  • •Strong SQL Server DBA skills for large-scale SQL Server database management and administration.
  • •Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups and additional replication models (a plus).
  • •Experience with SQL Server encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted, SSL connections), backup and recovery, and writing/optimizing SQL/T-SQL queries.
