Job Summary

Own end-to-end delivery of safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems for autonomous maritime platforms. Design scalable vehicle subsystems spanning sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload and mission interfaces. Build real-time embedded software with an RTOS, develop sensor/actuator device drivers, and create software-and-hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures. Lead technical architecture, support manufacturing/deployment, and collaborate across a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

•Design and implement scalable vehicle subsystems including sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, and mission/payload interfaces.
•Develop reusable software components across multiple product lines.
•Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS and build device drivers and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
•Create test and simulation fixtures using software- and hardware-in-the-loop, and support manufacturing and deployment.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering (or relevant field) or equivalent experience.
•Proficiency writing C and building systems programming skills (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, optimization).
•Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and real-time embedded software development.
•Familiarity with communications buses and protocols including CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825/429, and MIL-STD-1553.
•Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
