Key Responsibilities

  • •Install acoustic system components in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, using correct type, placement, and fixing methods.
  • •Maintain accurate records of work scope being undertaken and completed.
  • •Undertake tasks and duties as directed by production supervision and/or trade trainers within the limits of current competence.
  • •Maintain materials, tools, and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition, and maintain high-quality standards per engineering and quality documents.
  • •Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area and comply with BAE Systems Australia policies and confidentiality requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge and experience with steel surface preparation methods.
  • •Experience with composite materials and two-pack epoxy systems, including mixing and application to substrates.
  • •Experience in vacuum bagging within an industrial environment for manufacturing or repair of composites.
  • •Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, with strong communication skills and the ability to follow workplace instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • •Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance required (or eligibility to obtain one), with EWP/forklift license required or desirable.
