Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain accounting standard operating procedures, internal controls, and financial management processes supporting project operations and contractual requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with project financial accounting, reconciliation, auditing, and reporting requirements, including GAAP and applicable standards.
  • •Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: daily/monthly journal entries, daily/ monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations, and weekly accounts payable and customer refunds.
  • •Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis, ensuring monthly performance measures and key performance measures are achieved.
  • •Supervise project accounting staff (about 1–3 members) and oversee internal and external audits, while interfacing with the client, subcontractors, vendors, and auditors.

Key Requirements

  • •Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required and must maintain an active CPA license throughout the project assignment.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting required.
  • •Minimum seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
  • •At least five (5) years managing and reporting on financial systems using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including auditing and accounting.
  • •Experience developing and implementing financial management systems, plus experience in a high-volume, regulated transaction environment (tolling back-office systems preferred).
