Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the assigned unit/plant from the control panel, adjust operating conditions and product flows, and take corrective action for abnormalities or malfunctions.
  • •Maintain continuous communication with field operators and keep control room registers, logs, and shift handovers accurate for seamless operations.
  • •Monitor system abnormalities, follow Shift Supervisor/Engineer instructions and SOPs, and normalize equipment based on work instructions.
  • •Perform initial diagnostic checks for malfunctions, correct faults when required, and raise and follow up on work requests for faulty equipment rectification.
  • •Ensure HSSE compliance, monitor environmental regulatory parameters, coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out during equipment isolation, and provide on-the-job training to junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Technical Diploma in Engineering.
  • •Have 3–5 years of control room operations experience in power or water desalination units.
  • •Demonstrate extensive knowledge of control room operating systems such as DCS, SCADA, and PLC.
  • •Know relevant plant equipment, processes, and power/water desalination operational activities.
  • •Understand and apply HSE and quality standards, including awareness of downtime analysis and problem-solving tools.
