Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and govern database and database-middleware architecture across manufacturing applications including MES, test solutions, scheduling/simulation, AI/ML, and more.
  • •Establish standards for data modeling, schema design, SQL development, indexing, partitioning, transaction management, and data retention.
  • •Lead application/database performance optimization (query tuning, execution-plan analysis, locking/deadlocks, and connection management).
  • •Define resilient patterns for connection pooling, retries, failover, replication, CDC, and data synchronization.
  • •Act as L3 technical authority for major incidents, performing root-cause analysis, problem management, and permanent corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •10–15 years of experience in database engineering, application architecture, or database performance engineering, including technical lead/architect experience.
  • •Strong expertise in at least two of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Sybase, with working knowledge across the remaining platforms.
  • •Advanced SQL performance skills including query tuning, execution plans, indexing, stored procedures, transactions, and concurrency/locking management.
  • •Experience with JDBC/ODBC, connection pools, database proxies, replication, change data capture (CDC), and application integration technologies.
  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
