Job Summary

Operate ready-mix trucks safely and professionally to deliver sand, rock, ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, paving, and construction services. Drive in the plant yard, on public highways, and to commercial and residential job sites. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, verify mix specifications, align and operate the mixer and discharge chute, clean the truck after delivery, and follow supervisor-directed duties while maintaining safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate ready-mix trucks safely in the plant yard and on public highways/roads to deliver products to job sites.
•Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections and maintain equipment in a safe, clean condition.
•Verify compliance with mix specifications after loading and at the job site.
•Operate the mixer and discharge process, including aligning the mixer drum under the disbursement chute and releasing concrete down the chute.
•Clean the truck after delivery, place and operate chutes to deliver product where directed, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or Class B.
•Valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
•One to two years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent education/experience).
•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
•Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
