Respond to customer service requests for natural gas connections and disconnections, and keep service running by installing, programming, and operating Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment. Diagnose basic repair needs, communicate clearly with customers, and support safe operations during natural gas and other emergencies. Maintain accurate records for company and regulatory requirements while completing required operator qualifications, safety training, and OJT.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform basic work using prescribed procedures.
•Respond to customer requests for service connections and disconnections as qualified.
•Inform customers of needed repairs, answer basic questions, and ensure understanding and satisfaction with completed work.
•Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
•Assist with responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies while maintaining accurate records and reports per company and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•Valid driver’s license per company standards.
•Complete and maintain required Operator Qualifications (OQ) and OJT for the Service Learning Path, including assigned classes and required safety training.
•Ability to use the company internet/intranet for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
•Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and provide basic factual explanations and information.
