Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical evaluation for enterprise accounts across Greater China from discovery through POC/competitive bake-off and production workload.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders across data platform engineering, architecture, SRE, security, and executive standard owners to design solutions that hold up in review.
  • •Design for production scale including sizing, sharding/replication strategy, ingestion topology, tiered storage, cost modeling, and failure handling.
  • •Win competitive displacements against named incumbent systems using benchmarks the customer can reproduce.
  • •Own migration planning (sequencing, dual-run, validation, cutover) and manage security/procurement paths including compliance and data residency requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal), including the ability to run deep technical workshops in Mandarin and present architecture in English.
  • •Deep technical foundation in data infrastructure from experience as a data engineer, platform engineer, software engineer, DBA, or solutions architect.
  • •Production experience with analytical databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Druid, Pinot, Vertica) and the ability to operate them beyond querying.
  • •Distributed systems judgment covering partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, query execution, and reliability under load.
  • •Customer-facing experience with real stakes (pre-sales, consulting, technical account management, or staff-level roles) and strong written/verbal communication.
