Job Summary

Join AECOM’s Bridges team as a Civil/Structural Engineering graduate working on a variety of bridge projects from concept to completion. You’ll contribute to structural design, bridge assessment, FE analysis, inspections, renewals studies, and on-site supervision, with mobility across projects and opportunities to progress toward chartership. Hybrid work options with international and UK projects across multiple offices.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to the design of structures from inception to completion and undertake the assessment of existing structures through on-site inspection and analysis
•Perform bridge-specific tasks including structural design, bridge assessment, finite element analysis, structural inspections and renewal feasibility studies
•Manage resources and tasks within a scheme of structures, ensuring delivery and coordination across disciplines
•Provide on-site works supervision and support scheme management to ensure projects progress to schedule
•Collaborate with internal teams and external clients/stakeholders to communicate technical issues and capture feedback effectively

Key Requirements

•BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above
•MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage
•Willing and able to work towards chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE)
•Demonstrable interest in Bridge Structures Engineering and developing a career in this industry
•Good Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint and ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
