Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the creation of 3D environments, sets, and props aligned with the Production Designer’s and Art Director’s vision and the show’s visual style.
  • •Interpret design intent and ensure consistency across the world of the film with production partners.
  • •Lead environment modeling reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback on design fidelity, silhouette, proportion, structure, and overall quality.
  • •Ensure environment models meet technical requirements and pipeline standards for integration with Layout, Surfacing, FX, CFX, and Lighting.
  • •Mentor and support environment modelers, identifying training needs and contributing to performance feedback and skill development.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience as an Environment/Set/Prop Modeler in feature animation, VFX, or high-end games/series, including time in a Lead or Supervisory role.
  • •A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in environment and prop modeling (stylized and/or realistic), with clear understanding of design, form, scale, and composition.
  • •Proficiency with Maya and sculpting tools such as ZBrush or Mudbox; procedural/vegetation tools experience (e.g., Houdini, SpeedTree) is a plus.
  • •Strong understanding of how environments interact with Layout, Surfacing, FX, CFX, and Lighting in a production pipeline.
  • •Great communication and leadership skills, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
