Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise Water Treatment Plant operators, EHS technicians, and on-site waste contractors; assign work plans and review compliance.
  • •Implement safety and environmental policies/procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant Puerto Rico agencies and regulations.
  • •Oversee hazardous waste and waste management programs, including waste characterization, labeling/packaging, manifests, contractor monitoring, and recordkeeping.
  • •Investigate environmental accidents using the 9 Step Problem Solving process and conduct hazardous waste site investigations with recommended actions.
  • •Serve as company representative in inspections (OSHA/PROSHA/EPA/EQB/PRASA/Fire Department) and compile environmental reports required by regulatory agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Environmental Engineering) and at least 5 years of EHS experience.
