Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment, working through a range of installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex wiring harness work. Troubleshoot issues by gathering and analyzing information, and integrate keypad and telematics communications. Perform testing, travel to client sites and rental yards as needed, and advocate for the EquipmentShare platform while following safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes.
•Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
•Work through installation scenarios using power, ignition, ground, and custom wiring harnesses when accessing the CAN network.
•Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards through the region for installation cases.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude; good with tools and hands, hardworking, eager to learn, and mechanically inclined.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) and/or experience as a mobile electronics installer, automotive electronics technician, or 12V technician.
•Own tools (some specialty tools provided) and be able to pass a background check with a clean driving record.
•Open to traveling within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time and able to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, and lift over 25 lb.
