Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare client work-up documentation, engage with Aon network colleagues on prospective and renewing business, and attend internal pre-renewal and client discovery meetings while taking notes and recording actions.
  • •Support submission and underwriting preparation by arranging NDAs, collating submission questions, reviewing materials before issuance, and preparing attendance and tracking records.
  • •Attend underwriting calls with senior brokers, compile questions and actions, maintain Q&A documentation, and build relationships with underwriters and other market contacts.
  • •Assist with primary market placement and negotiation by supporting discussions on coverage requirements, creating coverage matrices and quote comparison documents, and helping with presentations and policy wording amendments.
  • •Handle excess layer placement and post-placement tasks, including preparing information for excess terms, supporting binding and documentation in Brokasure and the Placing Platform Limited, and coordinating with offshore colleagues on invoicing.

Key Requirements

  • •An interest in building a career within insurance, broking, or the London insurance market.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and market contacts.
  • •Good organisational skills to plan and prioritise a varied workload.
  • •Ability to follow established processes while using initiative where appropriate, with good attention to detail when preparing documentation and maintaining records.
  • •Willingness to learn about cyber insurance, policy coverage, and the London insurance market, with confidence using Microsoft Office.
