Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement large-scale distributed systems that power AI features for millions of daily users.
•Own architecture decisions for flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and robustness across the AI Products estate.
•Manage technical debt over time while improving system reliability and maintainability.
•Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering excellence across the AI Products team.
•Partner with Applied Scientists to transition ML/LLM work from research into safe, reliable production systems.

Key Requirements

•5+ years building and operating production services with Python (or equivalent) at scale, with strong system design and coding skills.
•Own production services or pipelines, including operational/on-call responsibility, incident response, and long-term technical debt management.
•Deep understanding of distributed processing principles such as Spark or Dask, with strong SQL capabilities.
•Experience integrating ML models or LLM-based features into production systems and collaborating with Applied Scientists to productionize work.
•Familiarity with ML tooling (MLFlow, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect) is valued.
•Nice to have: experience applying or fine-tuning LLMs in a product context.
