Key Responsibilities

•Work with the mine waste team on civil and geotechnical projects for mining clients, including TSFs, heap leach pads, and waste rock facilities.
•Conduct geotechnical field investigations and construction monitoring, and perform site and material characterization.
•Support facility design and engineering analyses including grading, storage capacity, slope stability, seepage, consolidation, liner system, and settlement.
•Prepare portions of technical reports documenting field/laboratory investigations, engineering analyses, and facility designs.
•Assist with project design packages (drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates) and perform domestic and international field assignments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (or equivalent).
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
•Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to complete it within 6 months of start date.
•Strong analytical skills for engineering calculations and analyses.
•Ability to work independently and on teams, including comfortable work in remote settings.
