Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform protective relaying tasks including analysis, time-current coordination, protection scheme development, relay settings calculation, SCADA integration, NERC compliance, and arc flash analysis.
  • •Conduct power system planning studies such as real/reactive power flow with contingencies, generation interconnect feasibility, voltage stability (P-V/Q-V) and dynamic stability analysis.
  • •Execute design studies including substation grounding, insulation coordination, transient (time-domain) simulation, and power quality analyses.
  • •Design and configure networking/communications paths for RTUs, protective relays, meters, HMIs, PLCs, and SCADA equipment; troubleshoot and commission as required.
  • •Write technical reports and assist with risk identification, work plan preparation, field/site coordination, permitting, and training on assigned tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology), or BSCE (BS Computer Engineering) from an ABET-accredited university.
  • •3–5 years of industry experience performing design or device configuration in areas tied to electrical studies, SCADA, and system protection.
  • •Engineer in Training Certificate.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to design/build and permitting-related project work.
  • •Analytical mindset and strong communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
