Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary point of contact with external vendors and system integrators to develop automated order fulfillment solutions.
  • •Lead design for implementing new automation technology in distribution centers, including RFQs and requirements documentation for cohesive end-to-end design.
  • •Conduct data analytics to define and measure success for automation projects and communicate outputs from complex inputs.
  • •Optimize distribution center layouts, material flows, and automation equipment to improve performance.
  • •Develop business cases for new technology and/or CapEx purchases, and coach/mentor junior engineers while translating technical information into clear documentation and presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
  • •8+ years of engineering experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments (preferred).
  • •Experience with warehouse conveyance (e.g., right angle transfers, MDR, sortation, spirals) and working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • •Experience using Warehouse Control Systems (WCS/WES) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • •Experience with SQL (Snowflake, MSSQL) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Grafana), plus AutoCAD.
