Job Summary

Partner with operational leaders to embed finance into decision-making, providing financial insight, challenge, and guidance that improves profitability and contract delivery. Own management accounts, drive budgeting and forecasting, and analyze commercial performance using KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. Support bids, mobilisation, business cases, and change programmes with financial modelling, while working with contract and commercial teams to strengthen controls, billing, and cash collection.

•Support strategic decision-making across VIVO by providing financial insight, challenge, and guidance to operational leaders.
•Build relationships with Operational Directors, budget holders, and senior stakeholders to embed finance in decision-making and improve commercial outcomes.
•Own a portfolio of management accounts, ensuring accurate monthly reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
•Lead annual budgeting and regular forecasting, providing financial insight for short- and long-term planning.
•Analyze operational and commercial performance using financial data and KPIs to identify trends, improve profitability, strengthen financial controls, and support billing and cash collection.

Key Requirements

•Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least five years’ post-qualified experience in commercial finance or business partnering.
•Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience working under IFRS.
•Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis, including identifying risks and challenging assumptions.
•Essential business partnering experience; experience in defence, facilities management, asset management, or similarly complex operational environments is highly advantageous.
•Advanced user of Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems beneficial, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
