Key Responsibilities

  • •Take total ownership of complex hardware products from ideation through design, manufacturing, qualification, and field support.
  • •Lead mechanical design, drawing release, and configuration management of flight and ground hardware using industry-standard CAD tools.
  • •Own and apply an analysis stack (hand calculations, FEA, CFD, thermal, and tolerance analyses) to validate structural, thermal, and fluid performance.
  • •Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) with technicians, machinists, and suppliers to meet cost and schedule.
  • •Write and execute test procedures, analyze results to iterate designs, and author/present technical documentation; mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 145,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering AND 8 years of related industry experience (or Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 3 years).
  • •Experience taking aerospace or defense hardware from prototype through flight qualification and field support.
  • •Ability to develop scripts in Python or MATLAB for automation and analysis.
  • •Hands-on experience with assembly, integration, and test of flight hardware in a lab environment.
  • •Familiarity with U.S. missile defense, launch, or hypersonics programs.
