Job Summary

Join the Core team within Olo’s Order Engineering group, building and maintaining APIs, services, and tools for baskets, orders, checkout, promotions, and capacity management. You’ll deliver small-to-medium features with guidance, write quality code and participate in reviews, debug and troubleshoot issues, and help optimize reliability, scalability, testing, and deployment. The role is fully remote within Northern Ireland and includes participation in on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop an understanding of the Core team’s domain and technology stack and grow technical expertise with guidance.
•Handle small-to-medium features by implementing solutions within timelines and collaborating on requirements.
•Write code to established standards, participate in code reviews, and help maintain reliable, maintainable software components.
•Use version control and support delivery pipeline ownership, optimizing code quality, testing, and deployment practices.
•Troubleshoot and debug issues and participate in on-call duties as assigned by the team.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
•At least 1.5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
•Proficient in C#/.NET and familiar with basic programming constructs and design patterns.
•Basic understanding of version control and how to use GitHub for source code management.
•Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development frameworks such as NUnit or Jest.
