Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned claims caseload of moderately complex personal property claims.
  • •Investigate claim damages, research from insured/third parties/external sources, and identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Analyze coverage concerns using investigation information, review prior loss history, and create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate moderate-complexity claim settlements, develop recommendations with management for out-of-authority settlements, and manage claim outcomes accurately.
  • •Maintain thorough claim file documentation, use estimating technology and virtual inspection tools, and support CAT operations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • •2 years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims or construction/insurance experience.
  • •Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar estimating tools/platforms.
  • •Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • •Acquire and maintain an active insurance adjuster license within 90 days (3 attempts).
