Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform a variety of tasks supporting project staff under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator.
  • •Gather and maintain scientific data records, including environmental sampling and site operations/maintenance/inspections.
  • •Assist with calculations, set up and operate equipment, and inspect equipment/installations for compliance with specifications.
  • •Collect, enter, and apply technical principles and theories under supervision.
  • •Maintain proper project documentation for field activities and results.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate with 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) in archaeological fieldwork.
  • •Valid US Driver's License and a pre-employment driving record verification.
  • •US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field (preferred).
  • •Experience with archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring (preferred), plus archaeological field school (highly desired).
