Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out routine mechanical engineering work, planned preventative maintenance, repairs, and testing of gas systems.
  • •Diagnose faults and complete defect rectification on plant and equipment across the site.
  • •Install new mechanical plant and equipment in line with specifications and standards.
  • •Ensure maintenance schedules and compliance records are kept up to date.
  • •Support a multi-skilled facilities management team, including escorting contractors when required.

Key Requirements

  • •A recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent trade-based qualification (such as C and G or NVQ).
  • •Gas Safe registration with experience in both commercial and domestic systems desirable.
  • •Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet tight timescales.
  • •Strong communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • •Qualified as an Authorised Person (AP) or willing to undertake training and assessment to become an AP desirable.
