Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using handheld computers and pressure gauges; perform road tests to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation, including uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/education or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Maintain a current valid DOT medical card (or complete a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical as required).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
