Lead Visa’s government affairs strategy for Australia, setting regulatory direction and building consensus across the business. Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement an overall regulatory strategy for Australia in coordination with the AuNZPI Head of Government Affairs and peers across the organization.
•Monitor Australia’s regulatory landscape for threats and opportunities and communicate intelligence to business leaders, functional colleagues, and global management.
•Manage Visa’s relationships with regulators in Australia and ensure public sector engagements comply with Visa’s Political Participation, Lobbying, and Contributions (PPLC) policy.
•Keep regulator stakeholders informed through regular policy discussions and technical briefings with subject matter experts.
•Establish and maintain appropriate contact with counterparts across industry participants, including client banks.

Key Requirements

•12+ years of government affairs/regulatory experience with achievement in Australia.
•Thorough knowledge of the Australian Government, regulators, and their operating environment, including policy motivations.
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders at senior/executive levels.
•Highest standards for ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity with a strong professional reputation.
•Good judgment and experience handling confidential and material non-public information.
