Key Responsibilities

  • •Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda for California courts and the Claims Department.
  • •Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
  • •Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations, before trial and examinations under oath, and defend by trial or dispositive hearing.
  • •Confer with clients and colleagues to ensure effective case strategy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • •Maintain clear, concise, and professional written files and documentation for customers and internal teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 186,550

Key Requirements

  • •2-6+ years of experience in related field litigation experience on insurance/defense/and/or personal injury (REQUIRED)
  • •Juris Doctor degree (REQUIRED)
  • •Admission to the California Bar (REQUIRED)
  • •Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in California and meet licensing requirements including CLE
  • •Must be able to travel as required and to attend trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings and conferences
