Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in installation and qualification of systems and implement improvements that support throughput, yield, and product performance goals.
  • •Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems and identify yield/product performance improvements.
  • •Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions and maintain instrumentation (e.g., gauges).
  • •Ensure processes run on target per the Process Control Plan and respond to SPC process control alarms to bring processes back into control.
  • •Execute planned process experiments, collect/analyze data and report results; collect daily tool and product performance data; provide training and update internal documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, plus one qualifying path: an associate degree in a technical discipline, 2+ years of machine/mechanic experience, one year of First Solar technical experience, or six months as a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar.
  • •Safety-first mindset.
  • •General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
  • •Ability to self-direct with minimal supervision and troubleshoot/solve problems on the manufacturing line.
  • •Strong written and oral English communication skills; able to handle both administrative and technical tasks.
