Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, scope, and solve complex platform problems across multiple teams, including areas not yet fully defined.
  • •Drive initiatives from design docs through adoption by defining tools, standards, and practices that become engineering norms.
  • •Architect scalable infrastructure that eliminates friction for engineers and deliver self-service platforms and CLIs.
  • •Set the observability standard across monitoring, alerting, and health visibility, and support critical platform services through on-call rotation.
  • •Lead and evolve source control, monorepo and Bazel tooling, code review infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and safe, reliable deployments while staying hands-on in code.

Key Requirements

  • •Staff-level background in Platform Engineering with strong programming experience in Python and Go (Java or TypeScript is a plus).
  • •Proven experience leading complex, cross-team platform initiatives end-to-end and setting the direction others build on.
  • •Strong experience with AWS and deep Kubernetes knowledge (autoscaling, pod lifecycle, scheduling, configuration).
  • •Experience shaping CI/CD pipelines at scale (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Buildkite or similar) and monorepo build tools (Bazel highly valued).
  • •Practical observability experience and Infrastructure as Code proficiency (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation treated as production code).
