Job Summary

Lead building commissioning and energy auditing work end-to-end, from concept through installation and operation. Collect and analyze site and technical documentation to validate systems against codes, standards, and permits, and create testing specifications, readiness plans, checklists, and cost estimates. Coordinate with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients across multiple concurrent projects while preparing technical reports, visualizations, and compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site and construction-phase data for energy auditing, validation, and commissioning.
•Perform building and system commissioning work by researching and inspecting site conditions, equipment, and systems for conformance with rules, standards, codes, and permits.
•Develop and configure testing specifications and readiness plans, including checklists/punch lists and cost estimates coordinated with stakeholders.
•Coordinate commissioning deliverables across project phases from concept through procurement, integration, installation, and operation.
•Prepare technical reports and presentations, maintain quality control documentation, and provide guidance/training to junior-to-mid-level commissioning staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering, Construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
•5-7+ years of relevant post-education experience with building and systems commissioning.
•Knowledge of building commissioning principles, practices, and process (design/build and application to project issues).
•Technical knowledge of HVAC and building systems to evaluate and test performance.
•Professional licensure/certification (essential).
