  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Develop and make available informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision, in-services/training, and quality improvement activities; manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English (bilingual English/Spanish if required by the contract).
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
