Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine whether DirectQuery or Import mode is best for each table ingestion in Power Query and improve the SQL Power BI generates for Databricks.
  • •Work with Agile cross-functional teams to build new enterprise reporting from Databricks that aligns with existing Snowflake reporting.
  • •Research and test new or more efficient options to improve throughput of reporting development and validation.
  • •Assist with administration of analytics/AI platforms, including monitoring platform health, data refreshes, workloads, and integrations.
  • •Help investigate and troubleshoot performance or failure issues and support incident resolution with basic root-cause analysis and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled as a graduate student in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • •Strong ability to write and understand SQL for moderately complex queries.
  • •Experience building Power BI Semantic Models that reference a data warehouse, with validation against source reports.
  • •Familiarity with AI concepts through coursework or personal projects.
  • •Strong interest in cloud technologies and SaaS platform operations, with a willingness to learn and troubleshoot production systems.
