Key Responsibilities

  • •Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community, ensuring a welcoming, high-signal experience for members worldwide.
  • •Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy, community guidelines, and engagement programming.
  • •Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows, including triage, escalation paths, response playbooks, and Code of Conduct enforcement.
  • •Coach and support moderators and community champions; recruit and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
  • •Monitor and report engagement/health metrics (growth, activation, retention, response times, sentiment) and run experiments to improve outcomes.

  • •5+ years of experience in digital community management, online engagement, or community program management in a global/distributed environment.
  • •Own day-to-day operations for a large online community (e.g., Slack/Discord/forum), including moderation, member support, and community health.
  • •Build and improve moderation and support workflows (triage, escalation paths, response playbooks) with Code of Conduct enforcement.
