Analyze and review legislation, internal/congressional reporting requirements, and operational/funding documentation to support global crisis impact reporting. Draft congressional reports, RFIs, Q&As, talking points, and press responses, while tracking deadlines and liaising with State and USAID to ensure data is cleared for release. Manage funding and memo package development, collect outcomes from supplemental funds, and support consolidated policy, plans, and tracking/reporting systems for oversight bodies.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze relevant legislation and internal/congressional reports to assess relevance to crises and global impact.
•Draft congressional reports, RFIs, Q&As, and talking points, and track reporting requirements while coordinating with State and USAID.
•Track press inquiries and compile information and responses for public release clearance through State and USAID liaisons.
•Draft funding and reprogramming approval memo packages, and track funding status (requested, appropriated, allocated, obligated, expended).
•Support outcome reporting by drafting/collating results from appropriated supplemental funds and contribute to consolidated policy, plans, budget, and implementation mechanisms, including tracking/reporting systems.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred in Accounting, Finance, International Relations, Political Science, Business, or Public Administration, or a related field, and/or 2–5 years of experience.
•Experience working with the Department of State, USAID, or Congress.
•Strong English written and spoken communications skills for producing clear congressional and messaging materials.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate across locations, deliver on deadlines, and work in a multi-cultural team environment.
•Active Secret Clearance and experience related to international relations/foreign policy, foreign assistance budgeting, financial management, or program management.
