Translate commercial and technical opportunities into customer-tested ingredient concepts ready for development, clinical validation, and go-to-market. Define paths for existing ingredients into human markets, scope and prioritize future pet and human development opportunities, and set clinical study targets aligned to the biggest commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the path for existing ingredient technologies in human markets, including market opportunities, pricing segments, and end-consumer willingness-to-pay.
•Own customer discovery for prospective opportunities, building relationships and gathering commercialization and claims-relevant insight.
•Scope and prioritize new ingredient development opportunities across pet and human markets, including concept-to-spec development with unit economics and requirements for technical handoff.
•Collaborate with the technical team to set clinical study targets and claims for new markets and ingredients.
•Maintain and iterate the commercial evaluation process, partnering with co-founders, scientists, customers, and industry experts to refine and finalize ingredient concepts.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 150,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•3 to 5 years of experience, ideally with consulting plus strategy, product innovation, or commercial experience in CPG, consumer products, or biotech/ingredients.
•Comfort deriving insights from data and customer/expert interviews (market sizing, opportunity quantification, unit economics, competitive landscaping).
•Technical/scientific fluency or strong demonstrated interest to be a credible partner to the technical team.
•AI-native working style with daily Claude Code (or equivalent) and prompt fluency.
•Strong communication and project management rigor while building trust with senior stakeholders and driving work to deadlines.
