Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a multi-site NDT Quality Technician level III technical authority using ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy current and other NDT methods.
  • •Organize and oversee group activities, providing guidance to technicians at multiple Eaton sites as needed.
  • •Develop, approve, and maintain NDT procedures and work instructions; ensure compliance with NAS 410 and customer requirements.
  • •Train, examine, and certify Level I and Level II technicians; provide technical interpretation of inspection results and acceptance criteria.
  • •Lead internal and external audits (including NADCAP readiness), review NDT-related nonconformance investigations, and support audits and technical decisions across production, engineering, and quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • •5+ years operating ultrasonic, radiographic, and eddy current NDT test equipment.
  • •Current or eligible for Level III certification in at least one NDT method (PT, RT, UT, MT, or ET), and ASNT Level III certification or equivalent experience.
  • •Experience training and certifying Level I and Level II technicians, and supporting NADCAP audits.
  • •Strong understanding of inspection documentation and traceability; able to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, specifications, and written instructions.
