Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data for substation components, procurement package development, pricing, and design/review processes aligned to NEC/NFPA standards.
  • •Review third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
  • •Perform electrical engineering design work for low and medium voltage systems, including single line, riser, wiring diagrams, distribution layouts, grounding, and lightning protection.
  • •Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment/feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, and power distribution.
  • •Support cross-functional project execution through technical reports/visualizations, QC procedures, and compliance documentation, including help with HASPs and small- to medium-sized project scoping.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering or electrical design.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, process, and application to permitting and project work.
  • •Experience designing and constructing electrical infrastructure, including rehabilitation and new design.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and codes (NEC), plus ability to coordinate with agency regulators.
